3 and Out: Lifeless Bears Only Worthy of Another Postmortem

It was one last game before their bye week, one last chance to snatch back some dignity for themselves before the longest stretch of the season where they will be left only to their own thoughts and self-criticism, on top of that same treatment from everyone around them.
Things aren't getting any better or easier for the Chicago Bears, who will limp through Week 11 and onto Week 12 with a 5-5 record and a 4 game losing streak over their heads after a 19-13 defeat to the Minnesota Vikings Monday night.
It was another terrible Monday Night Football loss and sadly, another game that was ripe for the Bears to take. Instead, more of the same questionable play and inherent problems defined another flat performance for what may be the only team in the NFL going completely backward from where they were as the season started.
Add another week of scoring issues to the complaint file: the Bears were unable to score an offensive touchdown for the second time in the last four games. Defense and special teams played well enough to keep the Bears in the game, as well as put them in positions to win it, but of course the offense couldn’t fulfill.
The new play caller, offensive coordinator Bill Lazor, made his play calling debut with the Bears but it wasn't much of a standout performance, featuring too much of the same results that everyone was tired of seeing from his play-calling predecessor, Matt Nagy.
In all, it was another face slapping of a game for Bears fans to watch -- insult after injury after more insult. Here are a few more takeaways from another tough loss.
